The easiest way to the Bygdøy museums – by ferry
Many of Oslo's most popular museums are located together on Bygdøy – and the best way to get there is by Bygdøy ferry from Norway Yacht Charter. Since 1898, we have transported visitors from Oslo City Hall to Bygdøy in just 10 minutes. With departures every 20 minutes, it has never been easier to visit Oslo's world-famous museums.
The Bygdøy ferry runs frequently during the season and stops at Dronningen and Bygdøynes piers, with short walking distance to the museums. Here you can easily combine several museum visits on the same day – without stress, queues or cars. The ferry ride is not just transport, but a natural part of the experience. You see Oslo from the water, enjoy sea air and arrive in a holiday mood before the museum day begins.
For those traveling year-round, bus 30 also runs from Oslo city center to Bygdøy, with stops near the museums. Nevertheless, many choose the ferry when it is operating, because it is the fastest and most atmospheric way to travel to Bygdøy.
